“Dancing With the Stars” pro Rylee Arnold, 19, suffered an ankle injury during the live tour. She was mid-performance at a show in Salt Lake City, Utah, when she landed funny and twisted her ankle. Though she finished the dance routine without skipping a beat, Arnold was unable to perform for the remainder of the show.
On Friday, March 28, Arnold revealed that she suffered an ankle sprain.
“I just wanted to give you guys a quick update. I’m sure you’ve heard or probably saw… last night at the Salt Lake City show, I injured/sprained my ankle in one of my dances and was not able to continue dancing,” she said in a video posted to Instagram.
“But good news! It is not broken. It is sprained, but I just need to take this time to heal and make sure I can return back to the show,” she added.
Arnold will miss shows in Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and Temecula, California. She isn’t sure when she will be given the all clear to return to tour.
Arnold received a great deal of love and support from her “Dancing With the Stars” costars. Additionally, dozens of fans took to the comments section to send her healing vibes.
“Praying for a speedy recovery,” one person wrote.
