Britt Stewart and Emma Slater, both professional dancers from Dancing With the Stars, recently opened up about which celebrities they’d love to partner with on the show — and their top picks are pretty exciting.
While attending the DWTS Season 33 tour stop at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, Britt, 35, told Us Weekly that her ultimate dance partner would be none other than Zac Efron.
“I don’t think he’d ever do it, but since my journey started with High School Musical, I’d have to choose Zac Efron,” she said. “It would be such a fun reunion, and honestly, people would go crazy. He’d totally win — he’s such a great dancer!”
Emma, 36, fully agreed. “Yes, he’d definitely win,” she said with a laugh. But her own dream partner is a little different.
“For me, I think Andy Samberg would be amazing,” Emma shared. “I loved his dance moves in Palm Springs — he’s goofy, charming, and he can really move. I think we’d have a blast dancing together.”
As they travel around the country with the tour, Britt and Emma say their friendships with fellow dancers have grown even stronger. They mentioned bonding especially with Stephen Nedoroscik, who co-hosts the show with Emma, and Rylee Arnold.
“Last year, all the girls kind of looked after Rylee on tour — she was like a little sister,” Britt explained, adding that Rylee is close in age to Lindsay Arnold, her sister and former DWTS pro. “Now, Rylee’s really one of the girls. She’s not the ‘little sister’ anymore.”
Despite the tight quarters of a tour bus, the DWTS team keeps their spirits high. “The best part of the bus life is getting to hang out every night — eating together, watching shows, playing games,” Emma said. “It’s like we’re kids again. Britt and I even have bunks right across from each other!”
Adding to the family atmosphere is the presence of real family — Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, and their 19-month-old daughter, Nikita.
“It’s so sweet. We get to be like aunts and uncles to Nikita,” Britt shared with a smile.
Daniella, 32, also expressed how much it means to have her daughter on the road. “It really feels like home, because I’ve got my heart with me,” she said. “And the cast has been amazing with her — she loves being around everyone.”
On top of tour life, Britt is also juggling wedding planning with her fiancé, Daniel Durant, 35. “It’s actually been a great balance,” she said. “It’s refreshing to have this huge, happy event to look forward to while on tour.”
Even though Daniel isn’t on the road, their connection stays strong. “We FaceTime often — and since we use ASL, I don’t need a quiet space,” Britt said. “He’s part of our DWTS family, even from a distance.”
