Mark Ballas has been announced as one of the stars to appear on the upcoming season of “The Traitors” Season 4. The former “Dancing With the Stars” pro was in good company. Some of the stars who will feature on the show will include “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Lisa Rinna, “Laguna Beach” cast member Stephen Colletti, and a surprising but welcome entry: NFL players Travis and Jason Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce.
But how do fans feel about Ballas joining the show?
Many people have been thrilled with the lineup, but Ballas recently reacted to a comment from content creator Louis Levanti. Levanti felt that other people from the DWTS universe were better suited to the role. Ballas disagreed.
In a video he posted on Instagram on July 9, Ballas answered the question of why he was asked to be part of the cast with as few words as possible.
He panned his camera over to his three Mirrorball Trophies, which he won on “Dancing With the Stars” alongside celebrity competitors Kristi Yamaguchi (Season 6), Shawn Johnson (Season 8), and Charli D’Amelio (Season 31). He also told the cameras that he had 11 finals. “That’s why,” Ballas declared. “Stay blessed.”
The video includes a few expletives on Levanti’s part, but you can watch it here.
Other professional dancers have reacted to the post with messages of love and support for Ballas, praising him for his reaction to the video and also reaffirming that he was an amazing person to join the lineup.
Cheryl Burke wrote, “That’s right! You tell’em Ballas!” Sasha Farber commented with a series of crying face emojis and “mic drop.”
“I LOVE U FOR THIS!!!!” Jenna Johnson wrote.
Ballas also received support from his friend Derek Hough, Brooke Reese, and “The Bachelor” alum Joey Graziadei, who competed alongside Johnson and won DWTS Season 33. In addition to the many comments from celebrities, fans have also sent Ballas their good vibes and praised him for his reaction to the video.
The outcome? Levanti left a comment on Ballas’ video letting him know he was excited to watch the show. He’s not the only one! “Clocked me hard! can’t wait to watch,” he responded. The comment has been liked hundreds of times, and some fans were impressed with how Levanti responded. “Love when a guy can admit with grace that he’s wrong!” a comment reads.
