After years of turning down Dancing With The Stars, actress Tori Spelling finally accepted the offer to join this year. She follows in the footsteps of her former Beverly Hills 90210 costars, Brian Austin Green and the late Shannen Doherty.
Although Tori hoped she and her partner Pasha Pashkov would make it further in the competition, they were eliminated on Oscars Night. The pair gave a moving performance to “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman, but they didn’t receive enough votes.
After the episode ended, fans pointed out a heartbreaking connection to Shannen Doherty’s time on the show.
Tori Spelling Rekindled Her Friendship With Shannen Doherty Before Her Death
Former costars Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling didn’t always get along. However, Tori feels grateful the pair mended fences before Shannen passed away earlier this year.
“I’ve had a lot of death in my life, and I don’t believe in regrets,” she shared on her podcast. “But I have a lot of regrets that I didn’t have that time to have a second chance to get past stuff from the past and look at all the good things and really talk it out and have that last conversation.”
After Tori’s untimely elimination from DWTS this week, she’s likely thinking of Shannen.
As noted by The Sun, Shannen Doherty also came in last place during Season 10. Although Shannen and her partner Mark Ballas were far from the lowest scorers, they couldn’t secure enough votes to advance. Sadly, that seems to be what happened to Tori and Pasha too.
“Wow, Tori Spelling went out at the exact same spot as Shannen Doherty. That can’t be lost on her. #DWTS” on X user wrote.
DWTS Fans Didn’t Want The Actress To Leave So Soon
Many Dancing With The Stars fans didn’t feel that Tori Spelling deserved to go home so early — especially before actor Reginald VelJohnson.
The 90210 actress had plenty of room for improvement, but she seemed laser-focused on improving and enjoying the journey. She said during Oscars Night that she hoped to enter a period of growth and rebirth as she navigated her 50s. This is the kind of contestant that every DWTS hopes to see, but it just wasn’t enough.
The end of the night featured a double elimination, sending Pasha and Tori home along with fraudster Anna Delvey and Ezra Sosa. Family Matters star Reginald VelJohnson and Emma Slater advanced to week three.

DWTS won’t have a new episode next week due to the Vice Presidential debate. Catch the next episode on October 7 with a second episode on October 8.
