Eagles Legend Jason Kelce Offers Brutal Shedeur Sanders Opinion

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is the latest to give a take on the Shadeur Sanders slide in the NFL Draft.

Kelce has always been a straight shooter, so when Jason speaks, most listen to what he has to say.

With everyone having their different opinions on why Sanders slid until the fifth round when the Cleveland Browns selected him, some think he wasn't good during the team interviews, while others think his talent doesn't warrant a high selection.

And for Jason, when speaking on the New Heights podcast, he offered his thoughts on why Sanders fell in the draft.

"It's hard to find a great quarterback in this league," Kelce said. "If these teams really felt that Shedeur Sanders was a top first-round talent, they would have picked him. You mean to tell me if Michael Vick had these same exact off-the-field things happening or if [Sanders] had Michael Vick's exact talent, he wouldn't have been taken in the first round?

"Of course he would have."

Jason is right, and he goes on to say that we have seen players who have had character issues and off-field issues be taken in the first round because of their superior talent, and he also stated it is clear NFL teams didn't think Sanders' potential warranted him being selected that high.

It is also worth noting, and Jason said as much: NFL teams get this sort of thing wrong all the time, and there is every chance Sanders could put his head down, work hard, and develop into a starting-caliber quarterback for the Browns.

But right now, the NFL world doesn't view him as a player who can make that transition.

What the NFL Draft has told us about Sanders, is that it has given him the ultimate bulletin board material as he begins his NFL journey.
