Eagles news: Jason Peters next job comes quickly, Raiders to copy Philly's blueprint

It's been quiet on the Philadelphia Eagles front. You know... other than a Super Bowl win and a Valentine's Day victory parade. Things couldn't have worked out better, right? Nothing says 'love' like spending a day with our Birds.

Eagles news: Jason Peters next job comes quickly, Raiders to copy Philly's blueprint

Vacations aren't as long when you're the reigning and defending world champions. Less than three weeks after hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy in New Orleans, Philly's brass is in Indianapolis for another NFL Combine.

Eagles news: Jason Peters accepts a new role with the Seahawks' front office.

Some say Jason Peters hung around too long and that less-impactful years at the close of his career somehow diminish his legacy. We disagree. He WILL be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but he's making a stop at the Seattle Seahawks' front office.

The Bodyguard will accept a veteran's mentor role which makes a lot of sense. He's been one of the more respected veterans in every locker room he has been a part of, especially the one in Philly.

More Eagles news: Raiders GM wants to emulate Philly's business model.

Here's something else of note. Philly has been one of the class organizations for a while, and in a copycat league, many of the other organizations want to build a consistent pattern of winning like our Birds have.

Most won't say something like this out loud, new Las Vegas Raiders general manager John Spytek has no issues with saying he wants to mold his team like Howie Roseman has molded the Eagles in Philadelphia.

There's an old saying though, and we hope the Raiders are taking notes. If everyone could do it, everyone would. We'll keep an eye on Vegas though to see what the Silver and Black are doing though. At least we know now they have their priorities straight.
