Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has quickly become one of the best head coaches in the NFL.
He took over the team ahead of the 2021 season and has been the head coach for the last four seasons, amassing a 48-20 regular season record and a 6-3 playoff record.
He has taken the Eagles to two Super Bowls in the last four seasons and just led them to their second Super Bowl title in franchise history this past season. The Eagles were the best team in the NFL and it showed when they crushed the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX in February, 40-22.
They jumped out to a commanding 24-0 lead going into halftime and had a 34-6 lead going into the fourth quarter before the Chiefs scored some garbage-time points.
The 2025 season will be Sirianni's fifth as Eagles head coach and Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie hinted to the media on Tuesday that some good news surrounding Sirianni will be coming out soon.
“You guys will find out soon enough that Nick will be our coach moving forward," Lurie said.
This is code for, "I'm signing my head coach to an extension in the coming days." The Eagles loved what Sirianni has helped build since he became the head coach and want to keep working with him for the next several years.
The Eagles are expected to be one of the best teams in the league again and have as good a chance as any team to win it all again next season, especially with Sirianni on the sideline.
The Eagles will play in the first game of the 2025 season in September but won't know their opponent until the entire NFL schedule comes out later this year.
