“Wait for it…..” she captioned the clip.

A few seconds later, the video cut to a photo of Shane’s decades-old student ID. The OC dad was rocking a white crewneck tee and a longer, pushed-back hairstyle that was very on-trend for the time.

“Daddy,” Emily wrote in the post. “Happy early Fathers Day to the man who provided 95% of his genetics to all of our children.”

The Reel received thousands of “likes” and more than 100 comments, one of which asked, “How was his attitude then?”

“Always BDE (big dick energy),” Emily replied, referring to the phrase often associated with confidence.

Emily underscored her “genetics” comment by sharing throwback photos from her younger years. The snaps showed the mother of three rocking long, full, curly hair in shades of brown and blonde.

“My daughter got her fair from me,” she wrote in the Story.

Emily and Shane tied the knot in 2009 and now share three children: 10-year-old twin boys, Luke and Keller; and 12-year-old daughter, Annabelle. The OC dad entered the relationship with two daughters, Shelby and Chanel, from a previous marriage.

Emily spoke about her and Shane’s early relationship in the RHOC Season 13 premiere (July 2018), saying they were introduced at work but didn’t become romantic until years later.

“Prior to getting married, Shane and I did not date. At all,” Emily said. “We had worked together for about three years at the same real estate consulting firm, and we had always been friends. He was funny, witty, and always made me laugh. After he and his first wife divorced, we began chatting on Google Chat, and one day he just said, ‘Want to get married?’ I was 32 at the time, ready to settle down and have kids, and thought, ‘What the heck!’ I really just took a huge leap of faith.”

They exchanged “I do’s” several weeks later in a Valentine’s Day ceremony in Las Vegas.

Although their love story was far from conventional, Emily and Shane have built a strong, supportive, and loving dynamic that is nothing short of relationship goals. And while she and her hubby have endured their fair share of ups and downs over the years, Emily has made it clear she will “never leave” her husband. She explained her stance in a cute March 1 Instagram post in which she described herself as “Mrs. Chaos” and Shane as “Mr. Calm.”

“Three reasons I’d never leave my husband: 1. I’d be doing him a favor; and I don’t do favors,” she wrote in the video. “2. He’d have a lot more money without me so I need to keep him motivated. 3. His life would be too peaceful and calm. Living with me teaches him how to handle chaos and insanity.”
