Emma Slater Reveals Why She’s ‘Grateful for Life’

“Dancing With the Stars” pro Emma Slater is not currently competing onstage for the Mirrorball Trophy, which means she can enjoy a slower pace of life. Slater recently updated fans on what she has been up to and how she feels “grateful for life” as she enjoys spending time outdoors.

Slater shared several photos on Instagram for her 890,000 followers to see. These pictures included a cute selfie, a snap of her hanging in a hammock, another sitting in the sunshine, and the beautiful big trees that call her garden their home. In the caption, she wrote an inspiring message about appreciating the little things in life.

“Spending time in my English Garden for the first time in months,” she wrote. “I’ve missed my big trees and the beautiful plants that grow here. It’s good to slow down and take in all these moments, or they’ll be missed. Grateful for life and all the blessings. Wrapping love around you if you’re reading this.” 

The message Slater is sharing is important: it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life. Things can be chaotic. But stopping momentarily to take it all in and breathe can be the reset we all need. Fans have reacted to Slater’s post with kindness and support.

Slater has been active on social media recently, and earlier this week, she celebrated another milestone. In an Instagram post, she let fans know she purchased her first apartment building in Los Angeles. The dancer gave her followers a glimpse into what is to come and a look at her skills on “demolition day.” She can be seen initially struggling with the hammer, and she’s not wearing work-approved shoes, but it’s a sweet clip nonetheless and shows how the DWTS favorite has been keeping busy! 

Fans will be eager to learn which professional dancers will return to DWTS Season 34 when it premieres in Fall 2025. So far, the only celebrity contestant to be announced is wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin!
