Mike Tyson says he'd rather appear for WWE, not AEW - Gerweck.net

Best known by his alias ‘The Real Deal’, Holyfield had an exceptional professional career which spanned just shy of three decades.

He became the undisputed world cruiserweight champion when he defeated Carlos De Leon in the spring of 1988. and would go on to achieve the same feat at heavyweight just two years later when he beat James ‘Buster’ Douglas to capture the WBC, WBA and IBF titles.

He went on to pick up a number of career defining victories during his campaign at heavyweight, beating the likes of George Foreman, Riddick Bowe and Mike Tyson to name just a few.

In an interview with The Ring Magazine, Holyfield made no mistake in revealing who was the better fighter between Bowe and Tyson.

“I would say Bowe. I had three fights with Bowe. He was very competitive, he was always going to be in shape when he fought me.”

‘The Real Deal’ finally walked away from boxing in 2011 just a short while after he defeated Brian Nielsen in May of that year. He ended his career having fought 57 times, tasting defeat on 10 occasions.

It wasn’t until last May when his incredible record of being undisputed champion at cruiserweight and heavyweight was finally broken, after Ukrainian superstar Oleksandr Usyk outpointed Tyson Fury to claim all four of the world heavyweight titles in their historic showdown in Riyadh, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the ‘four belt era’.
