“Every Day I Worry Something Will Go Wrong”: Love Is Blind’s Cameron Hamilton Breaks Down Over Stress of Lauren’s Pregnancy

Love Is Blind fan-favorite Cameron Hamilton is known for his calm, steady love — but as he prepares to become a father for the first time, the man who once held it together in the pods is now holding back tears.

In a raw and emotional confession, Cameron admits that his protectiveness over wife Lauren Speed during her pregnancy isn’t just about care — it’s about fear.

“I know I’m hovering. I know I’m probably driving her crazy,” he said, his voice cracking. “But I’ve never loved anyone like I love Lauren. And now there’s a baby involved. I’m scared all the time.”

“Every Day I’m Asking Myself, ‘Is She Okay?’”

For Cameron, watching Lauren carry their child has filled him with awe — and anxiety. Every step she takes, every moment she says she’s tired, sends his mind racing.

“I think about everything that could go wrong,” he admitted. “I know that’s not healthy. I know I need to let her breathe. But this baby, this family — it’s everything I’ve ever wanted. And I’m terrified of messing it up.”

Cameron says his intentions come from love — but he’s starting to realize that love sometimes needs space, too.

“I thought I was being helpful. I didn’t see how it felt like control to her. That breaks my heart. The last thing I ever want to do is make her feel small.”

“I Don’t Want to Be the Reason She Feels Trapped”

The hardest moment, Cameron says, came when Lauren finally told him how suffocated she felt.

“She looked me in the eye and said, ‘Stop treating me like I’m broken.’ And I just froze,” he shared. “Because that’s not how I see her at all. She’s the strongest person I know. I just… I love her so much, it makes me overthink everything.”

Now, Cameron is trying to find the balance — to be the rock Lauren needs without becoming a wall she can’t breathe behind.

“I’m learning,” he said softly. “Every day, I’m trying to listen more, to trust more. To remind myself that she’s not just the mother of my child — she’s my partner, my equal. And she doesn’t need saving. She just needs me to stand beside her, not in front of her.”

“I Love Her So Much It Hurts — But I’m Learning to Let Go”

Cameron knows he won’t get everything right. But he’s committed to showing up, even when it’s messy.

“This isn’t the picture-perfect version of love. It’s deeper. It’s real,” he said. “And if letting go a little means she can breathe easier… then that’s what love looks like now.”
