EXCLUSIVE: Muhammad Ali's Brother Response To Claims Comparing Tyson Fury To Ali

'The Gypsy King' was crowned new WBC heavyweight champion after a dominant victory over Deontay Wilder on Saturday night.

Ben Davison made the claim back in October that Fury's notoriety means he is now comparable to the most iconic face of boxing and that the pair 'have so many resemblances.'

Ali's brother Rahaman responded to the claims comparing Fury to 'The Greatest' a few days after Davison's comments.

Speaking exclusively to SPORTbible promoting his book 'My Brother, Muhammad Ali: The Definitive Biography of the Greatest of All Time', the 76-year-old said that he means no disrespect to Fury, but nobody in modern boxing is comparable to his brother.

"Let me be clear on this. I wish folks would stop trying to compare today's fighters to my late brother Muhammad Ali.

"There will never ever be another Muhammad Ali. He was and will always be the greatest...period.

"While it's good talk that Fury's ex-trainer 'believes' Tyson Fury is the closest we have seen to my brother, reality is that while Fury does have personality to go with his boxing, he is not even close to achieving what my brother achieved in or out of the ring.

"That is not me be disrespectful to Tyson Fury, that is just telling it how I truly see it.

"However I do wish the best for Tyson Fury. I love everyone!"

Rahaman's sentiment likely lines up with the feelings that the majority of the boxing community feel about the debate.

But Fury has begun to establish his own identity thanks to his inspirational comeback.

The 31-year-old's seventh round TKO against Wilder in the MGM Grand showed how far he'd come since ballooning to 400lbs a few years ago.
