“Dancing With the Stars” pro Ezra Sosa says his former dance partner Anna Delvey wants to see him paired up with reality star Julie Chrisley for season 34.
“Anna is rooting for me to have Julie Chrisley next season,” Sosa shared with Us Weekly. “She was rooting for me when that whole pardon was happening. She sent me a text [that read], ‘I hope you have Julie Chrisley next season.’”
Sosa and Delvey competed together during season 33 of “DWTS,” with Delvey sporting an ankle monitor the whole time. Delvey was released from prison and placed on house arrest in 2022 after being convicted of multiple larceny charges.
Chrisley and her husband Todd, stars of the reality series “Chrisley Knows Best,” were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in 2022, but received a presidential pardon in May.
According to Sosa, Delvey isn’t the only one who wants to see him partnered with a “new convicted hot felon.” He revealed that his DMs have been overflowing with fan suggestions. “It was Julie Chrisley and then Karen Read,” the dancer said. “Then it was Luigi Mangione.”
Sosa & Delvey’s Friendship
Although Delvey’s appearance on “DWTS” was highly anticipated, she and Sosa were eliminated during the second week of the competition.
Delvey was not happy during the elimination show and when asked by host Julianne Hough what she would take away from the experience, Delvey infamously answered, “Nothing.”
Some fans took issue with Delvey’s comment, but Sosa told People he thought it was “iconic.” In fact, mere weeks after the show aired Sosa got the word “Nothing” tattooed on his back above the number 33.
The dance pro revealed that he and Delvey struck up a friendship that lasted once the show was over. “We’re texting every day,” he shared. “She’s like, ‘You have to come to New York!’ And I was like, ‘Do you miss me?’ She goes, ‘Sure.’ But every single time she says sure it means yes.”
Would Sosa Want to Partner With Julie Chrisley?
As for whether Sosa would like to pair up with Chrisley for the show’s upcoming season, it sounds like he’d be into it. At least that’s what he told Delvey.
“I said, ‘I fear we’ll make it further than you and I did,’” Sosa shared with Us Weekly. “I fear we could. Julie or her husband. Either one, we’ll make it work. [I’ll be back next season] and we’ll probably — hopefully — make it past one week. That’s the goal.”
