Fans Applaud Jenelle Evans for Social Media Post About Safety

“Teen Mom” star Jenelle Evans gave an update about her ongoing legal issues with her estranged husband, David Eason.

In a December 13 Instagram upload, Evans discussed the December 10 court hearing that occurred after Eason’s November 2024 arrest. According to In Touch, Eason “trespassed on her North Carolina property, breaking the domestic protective order” Evans has against him.

In her Instagram video, Evans said the judge who was presiding over the case mandated that Eason to have on an ankle monitor because he broke the terms of her domestic violence restraining order. Evans was also given a device that will alert her if her estranged husband, the father of her youngest child Ensley, is “within three miles.” She also said that she will leave the device, which sends “text alerts to [her] phone,” in her purse.

“I have a little safety net on me. At all times. Which feels great for me and my kids [Ensley, Jace, and Kaiser]. ‘Cause it’s definitely what we needed. Without me even having to ask the judge. Or saying anything. So I’m really grateful for that,” said Evans in her Instagram video.

Evans also said that Eason “cannot go near [her] property” in North Carolina.

“Why is all this put in place? Because there is a no-contact order. And he was ordered months ago to stay away from the property. And he won’t obey by that. So now, he appeared in front of the same judge that put that order in place. And he wasn’t too happy when he saw David again. And me. So, I got protection, happy about that. Successful court date. Couldn’t be happier,” said Evans to her social media followers.

Several fans flocked to the comments section on Evans’ Instagram post to share that they appreciated her message.

“This device could save a lot of women, why isn’t this more commonly talked about? I’m shocked, I didn’t even know such a thing existed,” wrote a commenter.

“I had no idea they had equipment like that for victims! That’s awesome! Not awesome you are dealing with that but awesome they created a safety measure,” added another.

“This is AMAZING 🔥 we should have this for EVERY woman in your situation,” shared a different person.

“This is awesome👏 good for you for taking precaution on your safety and your children’s safety, 👏👏👏 where was this when I needed this?” chimed in a social media user.

“👏👏finally the law is on your side for once xxx,” commented another.

“Former DV victim and wow would something like this really have been awesome to have had. I tend to think so much gets over shared on Social Media but this is 👌 information,” wrote a commenter.

Jenelle Evans Discussed Her Latest Court Case in a December 2024 Interview

While speaking to In Touch in December 2024, Evans shared she appreciated the judge’s actions.

“I’m happy the judge did what was right to keep my family and I safe,” said Evans.

In addition, the publication reported that in November 2024, Evans told In Touch why she felt it was necessary to take Eason to court.

“I tried so hard to find peace and move forward, but David’s harassment just doesn’t stop. He, his girlfriend, and their friends keep interfering in my life, and it’s affecting me and my family more than anyone realizes,” said Evans in her statement, as reported by In Touch. “I’m left with no choice now but to take legal action to put an end to this. I didn’t want things to go this far, but if they’re going to keep dragging me into these toxic games, I’ll see them in court. I just want to be able to heal and live in peace.”

A source also spoke to In Touch about the situation.

“This court date was in regards to him going to [Jenelle’s] property and trying to take her motorcycles, trespassing and breaking the no contact order. [David] asked for a continuance to get a public defender, but the judge was so mad at him that the judge ordered him to stay behind and ordered an ankle monitor so he can be on GPS,” said the source to the publication. “Jenelle can know that he is three miles from her property and three miles from anywhere that she is at. So, he is now wearing an ankle monitor, the next court date is January 28.”

Jenelle Evans Explained Why She Is Not Yet Divorced From David Eason

Evans announced she was separating from Eason in February 2024. In a March 2024 TikTok video, Evans explained why she has not yet divorced Eason.

“I would have skipped straight to divorce, but I couldn’t because in the state of North Carolina, you have to be legally separated for a year,” said Evans in the video. “You have to prove that you have two separate addresses.”
