Fans Believe DWTS Pros Have Officially Revealed Their Romance – But There's a Twist!

Emma Slater and Alan Bersten are sparking dating rumors again—but this time it comes with a catch.

In April 2025, the “Dancing with the Stars” pro dancers appeared together in a video that left some fans wondering if it was a hard launch of their long-rumored romance.  

In the clip posted to Slater’s TikTok account, the ballroom pros posed together, with Bersten’s arms wrapped tightly around Slater. The two both wore light purple outfits as they nodded their heads in unison to a popular TikTok trend sound many couples have been using.

Slater captioned the post with “iykyk 😊,” spawning renewed buzz from fans.

Fans Noticed Something About the Cozy Video of Emma Slater & Alan Bersten

Fans had a big reaction to the video post, with many assuming it was “finally” a hard launch for the “Dancing With the Stars” dancers.

“Ohhhhhh myyyyy 🤭🤭🤭 we knowwww emma we know 😜❤️” one fan wrote in the comment section.

In a Reddit thread, another fan asked, “Hard launch from these two… finally?”

But others took notice of the date of the post, which was April 1. The date, which is known as April Fools’ Day,  put the whole thing into question as fans wondered if the video was a fake-out to keep them guessing.

“Diabolical of them to post this on april fools,” one fan wrote.

“Hard launching on April Fools is gold,” another added.

“I 100% believe they are together, but they love messing with their fans and I find it hilarious,” a third chimed in.

“I’m going to crash out if this was a april fools joke,” another fan wrote.

There’s Been Rumors About Emma Slater & Alan Bersten for a While

Slater was previously married to fellow DWTS pro Sasha Farber. The two separated in April 2022 and divorced in February 2023 after four years of marriage, according to E! News.

Ever since, fans have been speculating about the dynamic between Slater and Bersten.

In December 2023, a candid photo posted from the “Dancing With the Stars” Live tour showed Slater with her hand placed on top of Bersten’s.  A fan photo posted on X showed the two appearing to be holding hands.

In October 2024, Us Weekly reported that Bersten and Slater have been “hooking up” for a while. “[It’s] not new, it’s ongoing,” the insider teased, noting that the two dancers have opted to keep their relationship out of the public eye.
