While Austen Kroll and his ex-girlfriend, Chelsea Meissner, have moved on from their romance after they broke up in 2017, it seems the pair remain in contact. In fact, the Southern Charm cast member still has fond memories of a 2017 trip to Key West that he took with Chelsea and their friends.
Chelsea took to her Instagram Story recently, where she posted an old photo of her, Austen, Craig Conover, and Shep Rose, standing on a dock together, while a camera in the background captured it all. Everyone looked so happy in their swimsuits and coverups, as they held beverages in their hands and smiled for the camera. "Vintage finds," Chelsea wrote in the caption of the post, along with a sweating-smile emoji.
Austen then reposted the photo to his own Instagram Story, where he shared some behind-the-scenes information about the Southern Charm Season 4 cast trip to Florida. "Whoahhh Key West! My first cast trip," he wrote. "The guys had either just finished banana boating (unseen footage) OR Chels and I were about to go parasailing!"

During a December 2020 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Austen opened up about whether he would rekindle his relationship with Chelsea. Austen, who had just gotten out of a relationship with Madison LeCroy at the time, insisted that they were just friends.
"Gosh, I mean, after going through what I went through with Madison, to look at someone like Chelsea would be like, 'Oh my God, you are an angel sent from frickin' heaven,'" Austen said at the time. "But, I think that, honestly, that Chelsea and I have moved into [the] friend realm. We just realized that she and I are so, so, so different."

Austen and Chelsea have both moved on in their personal lives, as Austen is currently dating Audrey Pratt. Chelsea, on the other hand, is a single mom to a daughter and lives a very low-profile life. However, Chelsea does still keep in touch with some members of the Southern Charm inner circle, as she still lives in Charleston.
During a March Instagram Q&A, Chelsea revealed that she still keeps in touch with Cameran Eubanks Wimberly, and Naomie Olindo. "[Cameran Wimberly] and [Naomie Olindo] are best friends," she wrote in an Instagram Story. "The three of us are taking a trip together next month! Also, Cam is my daughter's godmother."
