“For the First Time, I Felt Safe Enough to Let Go”: Love Is Blind’s Taylor Haag Says Daniel’s Love Gave Her the Strength to Leave Her Career and Choose a New Life

In a heartfelt confession that reveals a softer, more vulnerable side of her journey, Love Is Blind star Taylor Haag is opening up about one of the most pivotal — and emotional — decisions of her life: stepping away from her career to embrace life at home with her husband, Daniel Hastings.

“For the first time in my adult life, I wasn’t chasing something. I wasn’t proving anything. I was just… safe,” Taylor shared. “And that feeling came from Daniel.”

Trading Hustle for Healing

Taylor, once known for her unstoppable ambition and high-powered job before entering the pods, shocked fans and close friends alike when she announced she was taking a step back from her career.

“I used to think slowing down meant giving up,” she admitted. “But I’ve learned that sometimes, choosing peace is the bravest thing you can do.”

She says the shift didn’t come overnight. It was Daniel’s quiet, unwavering love that slowly changed her view of what success and fulfillment could look like.

“He never asked me to stop working. He never pressured me. But he made me feel like I didn’t have to carry the world on my back alone,” Taylor said, tearing up. “That kind of love changes you.”

“I Didn’t Know What Rest Felt Like”

Taylor described how, before Daniel, her life was built around goals, deadlines, and the constant fear of falling behind.

“I was addicted to achievement,” she said. “But deep down, I was exhausted. I just didn’t know how to stop — or who I’d be if I did.”

With Daniel by her side, she started to question whether the life she had built truly made her happy — or simply made her look accomplished.

“He made space for me to breathe. To rest. To dream about a life that wasn’t just full — but full of love.”

A New Chapter, Rooted in Love

These days, Taylor finds joy in the everyday things: slow mornings, cooking together, spontaneous road trips, even folding laundry side by side.

“There’s this quiet magic in building a life with someone who sees you, holds you, and never makes you feel like you have to earn their love,” she said.

She acknowledges that not everyone will understand her choice to step away — especially in a world that glamorizes the grind.

“But I know what I’ve gained,” Taylor smiled. “And I wouldn’t trade it for any promotion or paycheck.”

What’s Next?

As for the future, Taylor says she’s not closing the door on her career — but she’s no longer running herself into the ground to chase it.

“I’ll go back when it feels right,” she said. “But this chapter, right now? It’s for love. It’s for family. It’s for me.”
