“Fruit Is Sensual — And So Is She”: Southern Charm’s Craig Conover Opens Up About His Dream Girl, Reveals He’s Done With Glam and Ready for Something Raw, Real, and Rooted

Craig Conover’s dating life is the source of a lot of speculation since his split from Paige DeSorbo. Southern Charm fans are curious to see who their favorite cast member will end up with next.

Of course, he was briefly linked to model Natalie Buffett earlier this year. But it’s been quiet since then on the dating front. Craig’s personal evolution is ongoing. So what kind of girl might fit into the Bravolebrity’s current lifestyle?

Craig Conover is entering his “hippie” era

In Craig’s recent conversation with Interview Magazine, the Southern Charm veteran admitted to be very much into gardening. Having a green thumb could be the quickest way to his heart these days. The interviewer asked him to name the “sexiest” fruit to “grow in a garden.”

“I think strawberries are really sexy. I’m thinking of the things that I use to flirt. I use my garden to flirt with people,” he responded.

Craig continued, “So when we started filming this season, my strawberries were in bloom, and if I had a crush on a girl I would take her into my garden and pick a strawberry for her and have her try it. And then I have blackberries all over my fence line and blueberry bushes by them, so you go and pick some blueberries and blackberries. I think fruit is very sexy. If you can grow any type of fruit that you can pick off the plant and eat it right there, I think it’s an incredible way to flirt with someone. There’s something sexy about eating fruit. I don’t know why, but maybe we sexualized it.”

Yes, Craig’s next leading lady needs to get her hands dirty. But the Sewing Down South founder also claims “acts of service” and “words of affirmation” are important. He’s also “excited to travel with someone.” For now, the Bravolebrity is single.

Now, the comment that got some attention was Craig’s realization that he “tends to date girls with dads that did a lot for them.”

“I remember with Naomie [Olindo], I would start her car in the morning and I thought that was the nicest thing in the entire world, but her dad did that for her growing up, so to her it wasn’t a big deal,” he recalled.
