Gary Shirley returned to social media Saturday for the first time since being hit with a wave of accusations by his baby mama Amber Portwood. The father of two was met with massive support from Teen Mom fans– many of whom proudly declared that they are “Team Gary.”
As The Ashley previously told you, Amber— who shares 16-year-old daughter Leah with Gary— took to TikTok Live on Christmas Eve to spread her version of holiday cheer, which involved tossing out some shocking accusations against Gary, calling him a “pedo,” a rapist, a bad dad and more.
Since the baby-daddy-dragging on TikTok Live, Amber has yet to address the jaw-dropping claims she made against her ex. Gary has also remained silent on Amber’s claims; however, he did resurface recently on Instagram with a holiday post about his family. The post’s comment section was quickly flooded with support messages from fans who are angered about what Amber did.
On Saturday, Gary posted a family photo featuring his wife, Kristina Shirley, the couple’s daughter, Emilie, and his and Amber’s daughter, Leah.
“Loves these people very much! ❤️ Happy Holidays from our family to yours,” Gary wrote.
Fans of ‘Teen Mom’ quickly took to the comment section of Gary’s post to show their support for the ‘Teen Mom’ dad, with many encouraging Gary to take legal action to prevent Amber from firing off on social media in the future.
“Take that woman to court,” one person wrote. “You have a beautiful family and you’re amazing Gary!”
“Get a cease and desist because that was horrible,” another commented, referring to Amber’s not-so-festive TikTok Live.
“I’m sorry for you and your family,” added another. “Poor Leah has to hear this garbage she will never forgive Amber over this.”
Other fans took to the comment section to praise Gary and Kristina’s parenting, including one fan who suggested Kristina be the “new hire for the [‘Teen Mom’] franchise,” presumably in lieu of Amber.
“We wanna see more of the Shirleys,” they added.
“In my opinion Leah is Kristina’s daughter…not Amber,” someone else wrote. “She doesn’t deserve such a great kid like Leah. Keep fighting Gary.”
“We love you guys,” another comment read. “We support you Gary you are amazing dad and husband. Kristina you are amazing mom to those beautiful girls. #westandwithgary”
Plenty of fans also made it known in the comments that they are “Team Gary and Kristina,” calling the two “the most amazing parents.”
“Healthy Happy Family,” someone added. “I’m so happy Leah has Gary and Kristina. She’s the best mother to Leah. GOOD JOB GARY.”
“Such wonderful parents to these beautiful children,” another wrote. “Good job, mom and dad.”

While Gary has resumed posting on social media, he has yet to address Amber’s recent claims or respond to the accusations against him.
