Gina Kirschenheiter is back with another mom-life post.
After celebrating the holidays with her blended family, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member announced she had become a “personal assistant” for her oldest son, Nicholas. Gina was, of course, kidding; however, the joke underscored just how demanding a mother’s work can be, especially when raising pre-teens.
Gina jokes about her new role as a mom: "I got promoted"
“Who knew ‘Tween’ actually meant I’m now on the payroll,” she wrote in a January 7 Reel.
The post showed Nicholas — whom Gina shares with her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter — standing in front of the refrigerator with a pen and notepad in hand. The 12-year-old boy pretended to take inventory of the groceries while lip-syncing an iconic line from the 2008 comedy Step Brothers: “I like to have fresh fruit in the house and chocolate chips in my pancakes. Write it down so you don’t forget.”

Gina opens up about her blended family life
Nicholas is the oldest of Gina’s three kids. She and Matt also welcomed a daughter, Sienna, in 2014, and another son, Luca, in 2015. The couple split in 2018 after eight years of marriage and finalized their divorce the following year.
Since then, Gina and Matt have successfully repaired their relationship and have become supportive co-parents alongside their respective partners. Gina is currently dating her longtime boyfriend, Travis Mullen, who also has kids from a previous relationship, while Matt recently tied the knot with Britt Kirschenheiter.

Gina spoke about her blended family life during an October 2024 interview with The Daily Dish, explaining why she was so grateful to have Matt, Travis, and Britt in her life.
“We have it all figured out,” she said about the co-parenting dynamic. “I couldn’t be happier and more proud of my co-parenting situation. We’re just parents. You know what I mean? Like, we’re parents to our children... I’m a parent. Travis is a parent. Matt’s a parent. Britt’s a parent. It’s not even co-parenting, it’s just parenting. Our kids have four parents. We’re their family. They’re safe and happy with any of their four parents and that’s just our life.”
