He is a master' – Frank Warren explains how Tyson Fury reminds him of heavyweight legends Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson | talkSPORT

Frank Warren believes Tyson Fury has the ability to beat his opponent before they even step in the ring with him.

The Hall of Fame boxing promoter says Fury ‘dominated’ his recent fight with Dillian Wyte from the moment it was booked, and his sixth-round TKO win was certain before the two men collided in front of 94,000 people at Wembley Stadium last month.

“He dominated that fight from the moment it was signed," Warren said.

"Not in the ring, from the moment it was signed, you know, the press conferences. He is a master, how he gets into people's minds. Psychologically, how he gets in their mind."

As far as the 70-year-old is concerned, there are only two men in boxing history who are on Fury’s level when it comes to mind games – Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.

“There’s two fighters that have done that in my time watching boxing,” Warren said. “It was Muhammad Ali, who was a genius, and the other one’s Mike Tyson in the early days, how he intimidated people and they were beat. Probably 95% of the opponents he fought were beat before they got in the ring.”

‘The Gypsy King’ retired from boxing in the immediate aftermath of his lastest win and has since revealed that he is enjoying his time away from the sport.

Fury has wins over Deontay Wilder and Wladimir Klitschko but still has work to do before he can be called the best heavyweight of his era. The 33-year-old is yet to fight his compatriot Anthony Joshua or three-belt holder Oleksandr Usyk, who are set to rematch in July.

A win over whoever is victorious in that bout would make Fury the undisputed heavyweight champion and see his name put rightfully alongside Ali and Tyson’s far more often - but the 'Gypsy King' is currently standing by his decision to retire.

Three-time heavyweight world champion Ali is recognised by many as ‘The Greatest of All Time’ for his flawless skills in the ring and epic ability on the mic outside of it.

‘Iron Mike’ is arguably the most exciting and destructive heavyweight of all time. Tyson burst onto the scene in the early 1980s and become the division’s youngest champion ever when he beat Trevor Berbick in 1986.
