After months of silence following her emotional breakup with Matt Bolton, Love Is Blind star Colleen Reed is stepping back into the spotlight — and this time, with strength, clarity, and an unshakable vision for her future.
In a powerful new interview, Colleen revealed that while the split was one of the hardest experiences of her life, it also became the wake-up call she needed to finally put herself first.
“The pain was real. But so was the growth,” she said. “I stayed quiet for a long time because I was healing. But now, I know what I want — and I’m not afraid to go after it.”
“Love Didn’t Break Me — It Taught Me What I Deserve”
Colleen and Matt’s relationship was one of the most complicated journeys to emerge from Love Is Blind — full of passion, conflict, and ultimately, heartbreak. While the couple made it to marriage, cracks beneath the surface eventually proved impossible to ignore.
“There was a lot of pressure to make it look perfect from the outside,” Colleen admitted. “But inside, I was losing myself.”
Since the split, she’s taken time to reflect, reset, and reclaim her identity.
“I thought love was about fixing and compromising everything,” she said. “Now I know — real love doesn’t feel like walking on eggshells. It feels like peace.”
“Yes, I Want a Baby. On My Terms.”
Perhaps most surprising was Colleen’s openness about her plans for motherhood — something she says she’s “absolutely serious” about pursuing, with or without a partner.
“I’m not rushing into anything, but I’ve always known I wanted to be a mom,” she said. “And just because one relationship didn’t work out doesn’t mean my dream is over. In fact, it’s just beginning.”
She even revealed she’s started preparing emotionally — and financially — to explore solo motherhood if the timing and circumstances align.
“Would I love to fall in love again and build a family with someone amazing? Of course,” Colleen smiled. “But I’m not putting my life on pause for anyone. I’m planning for joy — no matter what form it takes.”
“I’m Not Bitter — I’m Better”
While fans may still be divided on Colleen and Matt’s whirlwind romance, Colleen herself is focused on the road ahead.
“I wish him well. I really do,” she said. “But I’m done being quiet. I’m done shrinking. This next chapter is about me — about love, about motherhood, about finding my own happy ending.”
One thing’s for sure: Colleen Reed is no longer the girl trying to make it work. She’s the woman choosing what works for her.
