Olivia Flowers is paying tribute to her late brother, Conner Flowers, in a very special way.
The Southern Charm-er lost her only sibling, who suffered from Lyme disease, back in 2023 — and she just spoke about his battle at the Project Lyme 2024 Gala.
Olivia; her boyfriend, Alex Williams; and her parents, Garry and Robin Flowers, all attended the gala in New York City on September 24. Olivia was a featured keynote speaker at the organization's gala.
"Thank you [Project Lyme] for giving my family and I a beautiful night to honor my brother," Olivia wrote in one Instagram Story from the event.
She also shared a video of her taking the stage for her speech, and later, a photo of her posing on the red carpet alongside her parents and her boyfriend as well.
Olivia Flowers opens up about the death of her older brother, Conner Flowers
The Southerner's older brother passed away in January 2023, just a week before his birthday.
On Conner's birthday that year, Olivia took to Instagram to publicly address his passing for the first time.
"I’ve been avoiding the post and anything else that makes losing you our new reality…but I want to wish you a Happy Heavenly Birthday Conner. Mom, Dad, and I love you. here on earth, we are missing you #33," she wrote on Instagram in February. "Thank you to all those who have reached out and been so helpful during this time. To be surrounded by those who knew and loved Conner all week was a gift in itself. We are so grateful for all your messages — please know they haven’t gone unseen."
She also spoke about the heartbreaking loss on Part 2 of the Southern Charm Season 9 back in January 2024. At the time, Olivia said that her parents, Robin and Garry were "not that good."
"My parents are just trying to get through, figure out their new reality," she continued.
Olivia was grateful for her Southern Charm castmates for supporting her during such a challenging time.
"I was very fortunate," she said. "Everyone stepped up and we really appreciate that."
On the one-year anniversary of her brother's death, Olivia paid tribute to him again on Instagram.
"This was an anniversary we've been dreading but we're able to honor Conner and his memory in the utmost special way together as a family," she wrote in a Story. The Flowers family remembered their son by attending a mass in his honor at St. Patrick's Cathedral.
