It’s a small world, but the Bravo world is even smaller. On the latest episode of Next Gen NYC, we saw Gia Giudice and Brooks Marks take their moms out for dinner. That was already a major Bravo crossover moment. But, did you know that the restaurant they visited was owned by Craig Conover and Austen Kroll from Southern Charm?
Craig and Austen’s business venture appeared on Next Gen NYC

In Next Gen NYC Season 1 Episode 2, Gia and Brooks were joined by Teresa Giudice and Meredith Marks. It was a crossover we never saw coming, and Teresa quickly spotted a cameraman she knew from Real Housewives of New Jersey. Like we said, it’s a small world.
As Bravo’s The Daily Dish pointed out, the restaurant itself was also part of a Bravo crossover. The Housewives and their kids went to Carriage House NYC, which Craig and Austen helped launch back in 2023.
Opening An NYC Restaurant During A Pandemic
When Austen and Craig first announced this business, they teased that the menu would consist of “reimagined childhood classics and dishes from the bygone era.” Examples they shared at the time included peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, TV dinner-style plates, and tuna casserole.
They eventually made some changes to the menu, thankfully. On Next Gen NYC, Teresa hilariously misheard the waitress saying “terrible tacos” instead of “taro root tacos.” Craig even claimed their restaurant had the “best burger in the city,” but we’re not sure how much weight that opinion holds.
Either way, we’re glad that Next Gen NYC got to capture a bit of the inside of Carriage House NYC. The business quietly shut down earlier this year. However, Austen and Craig still have their restaurant in Charleston, which opened in 2024.
Next Gen NYC airs on Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. You can stream Southern Charm on Peacock. Both shows stream on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
