Starting a new chapter.
Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Kaitlyn Bristowe on Season 19 of “The Bachelor” and Season 11 of “The Bachelorette.”
Since her time on the shows, Kaitlyn has been keeping fans updated with her life on her podcast and social media pages, where she has millions of followers.
This week, the former Bachelorette turned 40 years old and took to Instagram to share that she recently wrote a ballad called "Lonely in Love” in honor of her birthday.
Alongside the cover image, she wrote, “I wrote a ballad 🥹Have you ever been lonely in love? It’s a really sad, hard, heartbreaking feeling. I love writing, and singing about things I can reflect on. Things that broke me, and built me.”
She continued, saying, “Recently, I had @melrobbins on my podcast. She had me promise her that I would create more music. I told her I had a fear of looking stupid. I tell myself ‘you’re not a singer’. And if someone wants to make me feel stupid, ‘let them’. But I am a singer. I’m also a writer. And I’m also 40 today.”
Kaitlyn then shared how creating this song was out of her comfort zone, but she’s actively learning how to become comfortable with the discomfort.
“Continuing to always push myself to get comfortable being uncomfortable,” she said, “I hope this song makes you feel something. Either empowered to leave, proud you got out, or just simply going through something right now that could also pass. I love you all so much. Thank you for supporting my dreams, big or small.”
Fellow Bachelor Nation stars filled the comments with their love and support for Kaitlyn’s new song.
Zac Clark wrote, “Happy Birthday Moon. This is brave, great song. Keep Going.” and Ashley Iaconetti Haibon said, “THIS IS SOOO GOOD!! Your voice is amazing.”
Trista Sutter added, “Soooooo freaking proud of you!!! It is so good! ❤️” and country artist Brett Kissel chimed in, “The lyrics and the story — this is the kinda song people write 10 year into songwriting. Hearing this is only like one of your first few songs you’ve ever written is mind blowing!!!”
Mel Robbins also commented, “Kaitlyn!!!!! Let’s f**king go! THIS is how you do it! YOU made a promise to yourself when we met on December 2, 2024. Today you not only kept that promise - YOU FULFILLED IT!!!! I am so f**king proud of you. So proud. Welcome to the next chapter of your life. Now…Let Me go listen to your new single on repeat! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”
We are so proud of Kaitlyn for releasing her new song and can’t wait to hear more of her music. Happy birthday, Kaitlyn, and congratulations!
