Paige DeSorbo is known for being #RealAF on Bravo's Summer House, her podcast, her social media and beyond, but apparently the New York Native hasn't always been truthful to the public.
At the 2025 Create & Cultivate Festival — which took place this past weekend (July 19 and 20) at Rolling Greens in Downtown Los Angeles, — DeSorbo was a part of the "Business of Being You: Personal Branding in the Creator Economy" panel with Jeannie Mai, Cyrus Veyssi and Kamie Crawford.
During said panel, the women spilled tons of tea, with the Summer House star sharing a major secret regarding her role in the early days of the beloved reality television series.
Starring in Summer House from 2019 to 2025 — announcing last month that she will not be returning for season 10 — DeSorbo has always been considered a "fashion influencer" on the show when discussing her occupation.
Well, as someone who loves all things fashion, DeSorbo apparently "just made it up" when she was cast on the series. How wild is that?
"I think I was in a little bit of a different position than other influencers and creators because I started on a reality show, so I knew the date of when it was going to air," she shared during the panel, discussing the early days of her career.
The social media sensation continued, "I could be a little bit more strategic of when you came to my Instagram, 'What is her thing?' And I didn't have a thing. I just made it up that I was a fashion influencer and I had like 2,000 followers."
"I give a lot of credit to the creators and influencers who either go viral overnight or have been working at this," she concluded with a smile.
Now, DeSorbo can consider herself a podcast host — hosting the Giggly Squad podcast alongside her best friend, Hannah Berner — as well as an actual fashion influencer, garnering a whopping 1.6 million followers on Instagram.
