“I Left My Whole Life Behind”: Love Is Blind’s Tiffany Says Moving to a New City for Brett Was the Biggest Hurdle in Their Marriage

Love Is Blind fans fell in love with Tiffany Pennywell and Brett Brown as they built one of the most emotionally mature and steady relationships in the show's history. But now, Tiffany is opening up about the very real struggles that came after the cameras stopped rolling — and how leaving behind everything she knew nearly broke her.

Love Is Blind's Brett and Tiffany Mark 2-Year Wedding Anniversary

“People think once you find the ‘right person,’ everything falls into place. But love doesn’t erase loss,” Tiffany said in a recent interview. “I left my whole life behind for Brett — my job, my friends, my city. And I don’t think I realized how much of myself I was leaving, too.”

From Fairy Tale to Foreign Territory

After saying “I do,” Tiffany made the decision to move across the country to be with Brett. While their love was strong, the transition proved to be anything but seamless.

“Brett had his career, his space, his rhythm,” she explained. “And I felt like a guest in a life that wasn’t built for me. I was trying to belong — but I missed home. I missed me.”

She described long days of loneliness, homesickness, and the pressure to stay upbeat when inside, she felt untethered.

“He would leave for work and I’d just sit there, staring out the window, wondering if I made the right choice. That’s when the cracks started to show,” Tiffany admitted.

Love Tested, But Not Lost

Tiffany says the hardest part was not resenting Brett for the change — even when the sacrifice felt one-sided.

“He didn’t ask me to give everything up. I chose it. But there were days I looked at him and thought, you still have your life, your people, your purpose — and I’m starting from scratch.

It took difficult conversations, therapy, and intentional rebuilding for the couple to find their way through.

“We had to relearn each other in this new chapter. I had to stop pretending I was okay just to protect his feelings,” she shared.

A New Kind of Happiness

Now, Tiffany says they’re in a better place — not because the struggle disappeared, but because they finally started talking about it.

“The turning point was when I stopped suffering in silence. I told him, I need you to see what this move cost me, and to his credit, he showed up. Fully.”

While she doesn’t regret the decision, she says she wishes there had been more honesty in how hard it would be.

“Love is blind — but life isn’t,” she said. “And the truth is, even with the best partner in the world, moving for love is never easy. But I’m proud of us. We’re still here. We’re still choosing each other.”
