“I Loved Him, But I Lost Myself”: Chelsea Blackwell Opens Up About Split From Tim Teeter and Why She Finally Walked Away
Chelsea Blackwell isn’t leaving fans in the dark about her breakup.
Shortly after the Love is Blind alum shared she and boyfriend Tim Teeter split, she revealed what caused the pair to part ways.
“Ending a relationship is never easy,” she said in an exclusive statement to E! News. “Ultimately, it came down to a difference in lifestyles and priorities. I was focused on long-term stability and building a future, while he was more rooted in the moment. Over time, it became clear that we just weren’t aligned anymore.”
And while she shared the decision was “painful but necessary,” Chelsea bears no ill will toward her ex.
As she added, “I wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”
The 32-year-old’s explanation comes just one day after she shared a video on TikTok confirming their breakup.
“How the absolute hell,” Chelsea wrote over a video of herself putting on makeup, “do you find your spark again after walking away from the man you were going to marry?”
She captioned the video, “Life is wild.”
Chelsea and Tim hard launched their relationship in October after meeting on Bumble earlier in the year.
Thinking he was handsome, she soon learned they had a mutual friend in Chelsea’s colleague—and an instant connection.
“He was silly, he was goofy, he knew how to have and hold a conversation, which is so rare nowadays,” she said in an October TikTok. “I instantly knew I just really cared for him and same for him.”
Though it was their differences that ultimately pulled the pair apart, for a while they were the couple’s greatest strength.
“I’m a lot to deal with, not for reasons you guys think,” she added in the video. “I am very independent. I like my alone time. I recharge my batteries alone. And he’s completely opposite. So we really just had to learn how to understand each other’s love languages. It’s been just such an amazing journey.”
