With Joan hopeful that she’d be able to find love, the cast of The Golden Bachelorette season 1 has been incredible.

Though Mark was hoping to connect with Joan, The Golden Bachelorette producers brought him on as a producer plant, knowing they had bigger plans for Mark.

Although Mark was someone Bachelor Nation was hopeful to see as a cast member on The Golden Bachelorette, he’ll likely play an even bigger role for the franchise. With the coveted role of The Golden Bachelor up for grabs after the current Golden season ends, I believe that Mark has been getting teed up to be the lead of The Golden Bachelor season 2 for ages. The viewer investment of Bachelor Nation in who Mark is, where he’s come from, and what he stands for was enough, but seeing him on The Golden Bachelorette sealed the deal for Mark’s future.
