The Golden Bachelorette has been a surprising addition to the Bachelor franchise, but I’m convinced that the producers have a larger plan for the show, including the introduction of the next Golden Bachelor. While viewers from Bachelor Nation have been ready for some changes in the franchise, The Golden Bachelorette season 1 has been working hard to keep viewers interested in what’s happening with Joan Vassos on her journey to find love in her second act. Joan, who was a contestant on The Golden Bachelor before being named The Golden Bachelorette, has been working through her feelings quickly and efficiently.
Despite the drama surrounding The Golden Bachelor season 1, Joan and her castmates have kept themselves busy while Gerry Turner, the original Golden Bachelor, has seen his reputation tank. Even before Joan was named the lead, she and the rest of the cast were already beloved in the eyes of Bachelor Nation. With the world watching, Joan being named the lead of The Golden Bachelorette was exciting for everyone, and Bachelor Nation was happy to be putting the drama of Gerry’s season behind them. Excited to get to know the cast of The Golden Bachelorette, viewers were ready for love.
While Joan’s season of The Golden Bachelorette hasn’t seemed the most successful with viewers, those who are watching have been excited to get to know Joan better and see the cast compete to win her heart. The men of The Golden Bachelorette, including The Bachelor season 28’s winner Kelsey Anderson’s father Mark Anderson, have been refreshing to watch as they’ve moved through the season, and many have been excited about what their involvement could mean for the future of the franchise. While nothing has been announced yet, I’m convinced that The Golden Bachelorette producers have some tricks up their sleeves.
The Golden Bachelorette Has Had A Quality Cast
The Guys Have Been Genuine & Interesting
Although some of the guys on The Golden Bachelorette have been called out for their behavior in the past, the cast has been an amazing group of sweet, genuine men. Joan, who lost her husband to cancer years before The Golden Bachelor season 1, has been hopeful that she’d find someone for years, but when she started her journey on The Golden Bachelor, never anticipated that such a great group of guys would be joining her on her journey. With Joan hopeful that she’d be able to find love, the cast of The Golden Bachelorette season 1 has been incredible.
With guys who have been genuine to Joan from the start, the cast of The Golden Bachelorette season 1 has been wonderful to watch throughout the season. While Joan started on her journey a little nervous about whether or not she’d be able to find love in the group, it’s been clear that the charismatic guys who were cast for her have helped her through the hurdles she felt early on in the season. Mark, who joined the cast after some fanfare from Bachelor Nation about his potential casting, has been one of the most intriguing members of the cast.
Mark Anderson Is A Producer Plant
He’s A Part Of The Bachelor Family
Although Mark has been more of an enigma during his time on The Golden Bachelorette season 1 than expected, his time on the series has obviously been at the hands of production throughout the season. Mark was introduced to Bachelor Nation during The Bachelor season 28 when he met Joey Graziadei, the Bachelor lead who was dating his daughter, and it was quickly noticed just how attractive and genuine he was. A widower, Mark lost his wife to cancer in the last decade, and with five children to raise on his own, it was easy to see he was resilient.
Bachelor Nation seemed to be clear that they wanted Mark to be part of The Golden Bachelorette cast, no matter who was being chosen as the lead. They were hopeful to see Mark being able to look for love in a serious way after losing his wife so heartbreakingly. When it was announced that Mark would be part of the cast, Bachelor Nation was overjoyed, but it seemed clear to me what would happen. Though Mark was hoping to connect with Joan, The Golden Bachelorette producers brought him on as a producer plant, knowing they had bigger plans for Mark.
Mark Anderson Is Being Set Up To Be The Next Golden Bachelor
He’ll Probably Lead The Next Season
Although Mark was someone Bachelor Nation was hopeful to see as a cast member on The Golden Bachelorette, he’ll likely play an even bigger role for the franchise. With the coveted role of The Golden Bachelor up for grabs after the current Golden season ends, I believe that Mark has been getting teed up to be the lead of The Golden Bachelor season 2 for ages. The viewer investment of Bachelor Nation in who Mark is, where he’s come from, and what he stands for was enough, but seeing him on The Golden Bachelorette sealed the deal for Mark’s future.
