I'm Feeling Uneasy About The Golden Bachelor Season 2 Lead Choice (Mel Owens Has Several Red Flags That Concern Me)
Long before being cast to lead The Golden Bachelor season 2, Mel was an NFL player for many years before getting his law degree and starting his own firm. Aside from being disappointed that he wasn't a contestant from The Golden Bachelorette, there are other reasons to think he may not be the best choice. Read on to learn more about his potential red flags.
Mel Owens Isn't A Stranger To Fame
Is He Really Looking For Love?
The Golden Bachelor season 2 won't be the first time Mel appears on a television screen. He played for the Los Angeles Rams from 1981-1989, so he's no stranger to fame. I can't help but worry that Mel sees this as more of a gig than a search for love. On the plus side, Mel doesn't appear to be too active on social media, so he must not be too focused on fame. Only time will tell if he's genuinely looking for love, but I'm not convinced.

Before The Golden Bachelor's official Instagram account announced Mel as the new lead, he'd lived a full life. After retiring from his time in the NFL, Mel put away his football and focused on a new chapter in his life. He went to law school and eventually started his own firm, where he continues to specialize in workers' compensation, sports law, sports injuries and disability benefits. I don't see how he has the time to be The Golden Bachelor, let alone start a new relationship.
