Even though Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders is a celebrity in his own right, he once was on the top of the cloud when he met one of the world's most revered boxers, Muhammad Ali.
When the Colorado Buffaloes head coach joined 'The Dan Patrick Show' in February 2018, he said:
"It's just like Ali. Don't mention Ali's name with none of us. Ali, Jordan, then you get down there to us." (0:31)
Deion Sanders then said that he could not keep Colin Kaepernick and Muhammad Ali on the same pedestal and then continued to recount the time when he met The Greatest.

Peyton Manning once shared advice he received from someone before facing Deion Sanders
Deion Sanders was one of the most successful athletes in the NFL. The former Cowboys star shared several hilarious anecdotes with fellow NFL players. One of them was recounted by Pro Football Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning during this "Peyton's Places" show in July 2023.
He recounted his experience from the time he played against Sanders.
"Alright, tell me this. I played against you the first time in 1999 and I can't remember who it is that told me, 'You gotta be careful against Deion because nobody throws at him and he actually lets receivers run by him in order to appear open and then you accelerate," Manning said. (4:00)
Deion had already won two Super Bowl rings when Peyton Manning was drafted into the NFL in 1998. The Colts defeated Sanders and the Cowboys 34-24 in 1999, their first meeting.
