Iconic picture of Muhammad Ali knocking out Sonny Liston up for auction

IF YOU’VE got a spare half a million quid lying around then you could own one of the most iconic images in sporting history.

The iconic snap from Muhammad Ali’s iconic knockout from the 1965 Sonny Liston rematch is going under the hammer this weekend.

The iconic shot is likely to raise around £500kCredit: Guernsey's

Neil Leifer’s famed photo will have a starting bid of £128,000.

However, the folks of Guernsey’s Auction expect the winning bid to reach around the £480k mark.

And it is not only the legendary photograph that you will be getting.

It comes along with a handwritten from Ali – who was named Cassius Clay at the time – to Leifer along with the original press credentials from the event.
