“I’m Ready to Shine Again”: Twilight Star Fuels Dancing with the Stars Casting Buzz After Mysterious Post

The new season of Dancing with the Stars is still months away from premiering but the cast rumors are already heating up.

With Robert Irwin and Alix Earle locked in to appear on the upcoming Season 34, fans — and judges — are predicting who will be next up to step foot on the ballroom floor. And one celeb in particular is fueling rumors about his appearance on the show!

Twilight star Taylor Lautner recently teased fans about his potential DWTS debut after inviting pro Jenna Johnson to appear on his podcast, The Squeeze. While they didn't confirm any rumors on the June 18 episode, the pair did film a very sneaky video.

In a hilarious clip, Lautner's wife Tay can be seen walking in on the actor rehearsing with Johnson — and they happen to be performing their own rendition of Johnson's dance with last season's Mirror Ball trophy winner Joey Graziadei.

"Screaming, crying, throwing up it’s so good 🤣," Johnson wrote in the comment section.

Meanwhile, fans took this as a sign that Lautner would be appearing on the upcoming DWTS season.

"Sooooo when it going to be announced that they’re joining the next season 👀," one fan wrote, while another added, "Please OH PLEASE let this be a hint that you’re going to be contestant on DWTS!!!"

Fans aren't the only ones who want Lautner on the show either! Earlier this year, Derek Houghadmitted that Lautner would be a great fit for DWTS. The professional dancer-turned-judge told Parade that he believed Lautner could go far.

"Taylor Lautner would be good," he shared. "He would be great. He would be fantastic. Competitive, athletic."

And to top it all off, Lautner's wife is also a huge fan of the show – and says she'd be down to make an appearance too. On a January 2024 episode of their podcast, she shared that she grew up watching the show with her grandmother.

"It would just be a really crazy, full circle moment," she said, "Getting to bring my nana and being like, 'Hey nana, I'm not a pro. I'm a star on this.' Like how crazy is that?"

There's no official word yet on whether Lautner will appear on the show this fall but fans will find out in the coming months.
