Professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev stepped away from “Dancing with the Stars” after Season 32 (when he competed alongside Charity Lawson). Still, ahead of Season 34, some fans are wondering if he will be making a comeback.

Will Artem Chigvintsev Join DWTS Again?
“He won’t be on Dancing With the Stars this season, but he is working by teaching at conventions and things like that,” an insider said, Parade reports. This update will likely come as a disappointment to some, as the former DWTS pro had an interesting journey on the show, which began in Season 19.
The show is also where Chigvintsev met his now ex-wife, Nikki Garcia. The pair had been coupled on Season 25 in 2017, although their relationship did not start until later. The couple confirmed their relationship in 2019. Parade reports that Chigvintsev will not be returning to “Dancing with the Stars” because he is focusing on his son, Matteo.
“It’s all about Matteo,” the source said, Parade reports. He and Garcia have also been co-parenting well.
Fans often get a glimpse into Chigvintsev’s life and his relationship with Matteo when he posts pictures on Instagram. In a video from their beach day, which was posted on June 30, he captioned the post with a sweet message. “Nothing is better than this,” he wrote.

Despite not signing on for another season of DWTS (which will return to our screens on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 8:00 p.m. ET), dance is still an essential part of Chigvintsev’s life. On July 5, he made an Instagram post showing himself leading a dance class at Velocity Dance Convention.
