Lisa Vanderpump has been on TV for years, mainly because of her starring role in Vanderpump Rules. In recent times, though, viewers haven’t been seeing much of her on the show. Now it’s being reported that her lack of screen time is actually on purpose. Read on to find out what happened.
Lisa Vanderpump Is On The Outs
Published Author and Bravo superfan Thea de Sousa recently shared her take on what she believes to be Lisa’s future on VPR.
According to her insider knowledge, Sousa says that Vanderpump is slowly getting the cold shoulder from the network.
By way of action-packed drama like the Scandoval and the Season 11 love triangle, the reality TV star has barely made cameos on her own show. While she gives her co-stars advice from time to time, she’s hasn’t been involved in any of the major storylines.
Thea explains that it hasn’t been Lisa’s choice to no longer be the spotlight cast member of the series. But rather, it’s Bravo calling the shots, and right now they want her gone.
“For the past season, they’ve been trying to minimize her contract with the show,” Sousa shares. “That’s Bravo’s doing.”
Vanderpump hasn’t addressed the theory just yet.
Her Other Projects
If the rumors are true that Bravo is icing Lisa Vanderpump off VPR, it’s not too surprising. After all, she’s been taking her talents to other networks for the past few years.
Not only is she the lead of her own Hulu series Vanderpump Villa, but she also competed against Gordon Ramsay for the Fox series Food Stars.
None of these networks are associated with Bravo, and she doesn’t seem to mind that at all. The only project she’s worked on recently with the network was The Valley, as she was a producer of its premiere season.
Her lack of loyalty to Bravo might be reason enough for the execs to want to cut their ties with her.
Do Fans Want More Or Less Lisa?
Despite being one of the founding members of the show, VPR fans don’t seem to mind Lisa not having a ton of screen time.
In fact, the very few appearances she made in Season 11 seem to get on most viewers’ nerves.
In a Reddit thread, the majority of fans agreed that based on her previous on-screen moments, she’s no longer needed on the show. Here are a few of the comments:
- “Lisa doesn’t belong anymore.”
- “I think it makes no sense having Lisa on the show.”
- “The less Lisa the better.”
