The Las Vegas Raiders, as well as the rest of the teams in the NFL, have a lot of people around the world who love to chime on and talk about these teams, acting like they know what's going on when they really don't. No, not media members and beatwriters like myself.
I'm talking about the national media talking heads -- your Stephen A. Smith, Colin Cowherd, Skip Bayless, those guys, that have absolutely no idea what they're talking about most of the time, but are entertaining to casual fans because the casual fan also may not know. They are purely entertainment, whether it be for good or bad. They are doing their job, because here we are about to talk about them.
Recently, one of those guys, Cowherd, to be exact, went on his show on Monday and said something that Las Vegas Raiders fans have caught, and man, it's not going well for him on Twitter.
"Is Christian Wilkins playing, the D-Tackle for the Dolphins," Colin Cowherd said on his show The Herd.
"They're not going to release inactives until later," Jason McIntyre replied.
There are two things wrong with this:
First, as the tweet says, Christian Wilkins is no longer on the Miami Dolphins. He's on the Raiders after signing one of the biggest deals of the offseason, and one of the biggest names, if not the biggest name, to switch teams this offseason.
Secondly, he's been injured for quite some time now. He's on injured reserve.
This is a prime example of why you shouldn't take anything seriously from these talking heads. It's all entertainment.
The Raiders, coincidentally, play the Dolphins next. After that, they play the Denver Broncos and then the Kansas City Chiefs.
