The Real Housewives of Potomac is set to begin filming its 10th season without Karen Huger, who was sentenced to one year behind bars for her March 2024 DUI crash on Wednesday.

REPORT: RHOP Season 10 Will Begin Filming Without Karen Huger as She Serves One-Year in Jail for DUI, Has She Been Fired? Plus Production Start Date

Amid ongoing rumors regarding Karen’s potential firing from the Bravo series, details about the upcoming episodes have been shared, including whether the 61-year-old mother of two, who has four DUI offenses under her belt, could still return, if she’ll be discussed, and when the rest of the cast will go into production.

According to a February 28 report from PEOPLE, Karen could ultimately be featured on season 10 if she’s able to have her sentence reduced through an appeal. However, even if she doesn’t return to her role, she is expected to be a hot topic for the cast, just as she was during season nine.

While only time will tell what Karen’s role on RHOP season 10 will be, Gizelle Bryant, 54, told guests at a City Winery event on Wednesday that she would be willing to participate in a filmed visit with Karen in jail.

Other castmates have spoken of Karen’s current stint behind bars as well, including Ashley Darby, 36, who said on Tamron Hall that she “cried like a baby” when the sentencing was confirmed, and Wendy Osefo, 40, who spoke to PEOPLE about the news.

“I always wish her well, and I’m just keeping her in prayer,” Wendy explained.

As for the future of RHOP, Wendy continued, “With this group, we have found a way to navigate with her presence and without her presence. Looking at the reunion, I think that we maneuvered in a positive way as a collective, as a unit. I wish her the best, but I think that the Potomac brand still is strong.”

As fans saw weeks ago, Karen missed the season nine reunion after checking herself into a rehab program, but offered the cast a prerecorded video about “[getting to the bottom]” of “taking antidepressants and drinking.”

“I’m not an alcoholic, let’s be clear,” she clarified.

Filming on season 10 is expected to begin at the end of this month.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season nine reunion concludes Sunday, March 2, at 8/7c on Bravo.
