An insider who claimed to be close to production spilled the tea about the Katie situation to OK Magazine. They explained that the rest of the RHOC ladies went on a cast trip for Season 19 while Katie had to stay home.

“Katie wanted to go on the trip, but she was not allowed to. Let’s just say her future on RHOC is not looking bright,” the source claimed, adding that a “major announcement” would be forthcoming regarding her status on the show.

When pressed for details, the source alluded to a “major altercation” between Katie, Gretchen, and Emily. However, they didn’t share any specifics about what happened or what caused it. The vagueness of their information seems like a red flag that this source doesn’t have much credibility.

Another source added a different perspective. They admitted that the RHOC cast has tried to “villainize” Katie and that Season 19 had been “brutal” for her. However, that insider shut down the idea that she’d been removed from the cast.
