It’s amazing what a difference facial hair makes. On June 24, Chmerkovskiy posted a funny video on TikTok with the caption, “Starting to think she likes this stranger more than me.”

The video noted, “Every time my girl asks me to shave.”

Fans had plenty to say in the comments, with one noting, “Val I jumped so far … that’s scary put it back please.”

Others noted, “There’s no way my girl Jenna asked for this” and “I actually gasped when I realized this was Val.”

On June 25, Chmerkovskiy posted a TikTok video of him playing guitar and poked a little fun at his new look.

“Lord farquaad learning the guitar,” he wrote in the caption.

He posted the same video on Instagram, with the caption, “Learning something new.”

Again, the “DWTS” pro received a flood of comments about switching up his usual appearance. “Loving the longer hair. A whole great for summer ⛱️🌞 and beyond chill vibe,” one person noted.

Another person shared, “Man, Val, you look just like your dad without facial hair, it’s crazy.”

One fan pointed out how they can see son Rome in Chmerkovskiy now. “For the first time I see Rome on your face — now that you’re clean shaven — looking good daddy.”

Rome is making some big moves these days too, with mom Jenna Johnson posting a cute overload video of their son working on a big milestone.

On June 24, Johnson took to Instagram to post a video of Rome attempting to pronounce his last name. It wasn’t easy, but it sure was adorable.
