Logan Paul engaged in a heated war of words with Jake Paul ahead of his younger brother’s historic boxing match against Mike Tyson.
Last November, Jake defeated Tyson in the most streamed global sporting event in history, with Netflix amassing a whopping 108 million viewers on fight night. The bout itself left much to be desired, however, with the 58-year-old showing his age just minutes into the first round after appearing to exert nearly all of his energy in the opening moments.
Shortly after the highly-anticipated bout was announced, Logan poked fun at his brother’s fight alongside Prime Energy Drink co-founder KSI - particularly voicing his concerns regarding Tyson’s age and health.
The negative remarks did not sit well with Jake, who promptly lashed out at Logan over the phone for not supporting him in his largest endeavor to date. “I’m going to do everything I can to make it the biggest event as possible,” he said in newly released footage shown in the Max series ‘Paul American.’
“You are the closest person to it and you’re undermining it. Sitting there with KSI talking ---- about it. You’re so lost to me, brother.”
Elsewhere in the show’s opener, Jake conceded that Logan has often talked down on his accomplishments throughout their childhood and adult lives. “Logan is constantly undermining me any chance that he can get,” he said. “He’s sitting there with my biggest enemy [KSI] talking ---- about the biggest accomplishment of my life. It’s just not what brothers should do.”
Logan, on the other hand, believed that he didn’t cross a line with his comments. “No one’s not going to watch Mike Tyson because I said he’s old. Everyone knows he’s old,” he said.
“Bro, what the ---- podcast did you watch? I upped you the whole time! I said you could knock him out in the second. I said if you guys were actually going to go at it, you’re going to beat him.
“Bro, who is your yes man? I’m not that. Get other people to tell you that it’s going to be a good fight against Mike Tyson. He’s ------- old, bro!”
Yet Jake argued that Logan was missing the point, insisting that his podcast appearance was hurting the storyline surrounding the buildup to the fight. “That’s not the point, brother,” he said. “It’s about selling the fight. It’s coming from my own brother.”
The wheels soon came off the conversation once Jake directed several verbal jabs at Logan’s personal relationships. “I have amazing friends and family. You don’t even have a single ------- friend, bro. [Your podcast co-host] Mike [Majlak is] a ------- paid friend, bro,” he claimed.
Logan swiftly fired back, “You live in a house with your paid homies.” Once Jake abruptly ended the call, he added: “He hung up. What a f------ b----.”
