During the In the Mind of a Man podcast, Jax told his agent/guest “You know how you guys audition for Dancing with Stars, season four of Vanderpump?
Jax’s allegation:
First of all, the whole audition is on the way to Disney, that’s where the audition is. I went in there and told Ryan, ‘I don’t want to do this.’ Ryan is my manager, by the way.”
“I told him, I don’t want to do this. I don’t feel comfortable. He’s like, ‘Just go, you don’t have to worry about it.'”
Ryan assured Jax, “It’s fine, they’ll just teach you. Even if you get knocked out, you still get a little bit of money and you’ll have some fun. I’m like, ‘Ryan, I don’t dance.’ I don’t even walk and chew gum at the same time. This is bad.”
“I walked in there [with] zero confidence. I didn’t want to be there. It just made no sense.”
“But, the show was so popular at season four. They were just like, who can we get from Vanderpump Rules? Let’s get Jax.”
Jax joked, “Poor Sheena.”
Bravo TV fans reacted to Jax’s DWTS claim:
- Another day, another lie from Jax
- He’s lying
- Since when does one audition lol
- I call 🐃💩
Upon seeing the comment about ‘celebs’ NOT auditioning, I did a quick search and learned …
“People generally don’t ‘audition’ for Dancing with the Stars in the traditional sense.” The show primarily selects celebrities to participate. Then, pair them with professional dancers.
In other words, there are no on-screen auditions. Instead, the casting team reaches out to potential celebrity contestants. Contestants are chosen because casting thinks they will be “a good fit for the show?!”
