Jenelle Evans Shares If She’ll Return to MTV After Teen Mom Exit: ‘Closed Chapter’

Jenelle Evans Makes 'Teen Mom' Comeback Five Years After Being Fired

Jenelle Evans is entering a new chapter in her life following her split from estranged husband David Eason in 2024. The “Teen Mom 2” alum, 33, recently opened up to In Touch about her future after MTV, reflecting on singlehood, coparenting, and her plans to stay busy with new projects away from reality TV.

“I’m looking at creating a podcast,” Evans told In Touch exclusively. “I’m also working on a cannabis brand I mentioned last year, so that’s still in the works. And I’m focused on working behind the scenes in TV, rather than always being in front of the camera. So I have a lot of different projects lined up and I’m really glad I’m staying busy.”

Evans has been in the public eye since she was 17, debuting on “16 and Pregnant” before moving to “Teen Mom 2.”

Closing the MTV Chapter

In 2022, Evans confirmed she had stepped away from “Teen Mom” for good, but fans have continued to speculate whether she might return to MTV.

“Well, we’re on good terms,” she said of her relationship with the network. “I’m still under contract with them, but they’re letting me explore and do my own thing, which is great and I really appreciate them for that. But as for the future with the show, I have no idea. I think working on other projects would be more fun for me. And I feel like that’s just a closed chapter.”

Evans now has her sights set on producing shows, developing original content, and even exploring acting. “Producing and appearing on other shows, scripted or reality,” she told InTouch. “I’m actually taking acting classes, too, so I’m really looking forward to seeing where that takes me.”

Celebrating Change and Finding Peace

To mark this major life shift, Evans is hosting a divorce party at Spearmint Rhino in New York City on Thursday, June 12. Fans who are 21 and older can RSVP for complimentary guest list access at Spearmint Rhino’s website on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is expected to include TikTok creators, other “Teen Mom” cast members, and possibly even Farrah Abraham.

“I’ve been through a lot,” Evans said. “But I feel like I’m finally heading in the direction I’ve always wanted, just on my own terms this time.”

With her focus now on growth, healing, and building something meaningful for herself and her three children, it seems Evans is determined to create a healthier, more grounded future.
