Jenn Tran Shares If She’s Dropping Out of PA School to Be the Bachelorette: ‘Everyone’s Been Asking’

Bachelor Nation fans are getting excited to watch Jenn Tran’s highly anticipated Bachelorette journey unfold starting next month.

And as we learned on Joey Graziadei’s season of “The Bachelor,” Jenn is currently in school pursuing her dream of becoming a physician’s assistant.

Now, Jenn is taking to social media to share an update about her PA school journey and whether she is planning on continuing her education after being the Bachelorette.

In a new video, Jenn said, “Everyone has been asking this question for a while now. People want to know if I am dropping out of PA school. The answer is yes… No! You guys are crazy. No, I am NOT dropping out of PA school. I am just taking a little break. I took a little break for filming ‘The Bachelorette,’ obviously, but now that I’m back, I’m in a bit of a pickle right now because I’m doing a lot of press events. There is just so much going on in my life right now. I’m in L.A. like every other weekend.”

She shared that she was originally planning on finishing up her emergency rotation this summer, which is what she was working on before leaving to film “The Bachelorette.”

But Jenn explained, “I wasn’t thinking, because this is actually the craziest time of my life and I want to be able to fully focus on school and fully focus on what I’m doing here as well. So the plan for right now is I’m going to push back my emergency rotation until September, which is when the show stops airing and all this chaos is going to die down.”

She went on, “I think that’s the best plan for me because I will be able to focus on it and I will be able to go into my shifts having studied and having had time to really immerse myself in it. I only have seven shifts to make up and I could do it now, but I wouldn’t be giving it my all because I am going to be thinking about other things and doing other things.”

Jenn said that she doesn’t just want to finish the shifts to finish them —she wants to learn and do well because being a PA is truly her goal.

She ended her video saying that her current plans are still somewhat in the air, but she knows what she plans on doing in the long term.

Jenn said, “The truth of the matter is yes, I am going back to school. I know everybody has so many opinions on that and people think that I won’t, but I am. I’m going to do it. I’ve spent my entire life working for this moment and studying for this moment. I finished the hardest year.”

She added, “I’m not just going to put it off and not finish. That would be insane of me because I do want a career in medicine and it’s everything I’ve ever wanted. I am 26. I have my entire life to finish PA school, and if at the end of the road I push things back by a year, it’s really not the end of the world for me.”
