Ahead of “Dancing With the Stars” Season 34, professional dancer Jenna Johnson added to the speculation that either “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner or his wife, Taylor “Tay” Lautner, will be among the competitors for the upcoming season. And she did this by creating an amusing video that showcases the actor’s moves and Tay’s reaction to them.
In a short clip that was posted on Instagram on June 17, Lautner can be seen rehearsing with Johnson. It was a rendition of the dance that Johnson did in Season 33 with “The Bachelor” star Joey Graziadei, who ended up winning the competition. Mid-dance, Tay walks in, only to close the door again and walk away.
Graziadei reacted, writing, “I’ll also be honest, I never got a ‘really nice’ like that. Props to you @taylorlautner.” He later followed up with a second comment, writing, “Hahaha! Jenna def makes a better me.”
Johnson responded to the video, and her comment suggests she enjoyed creating it. “Screaming, crying, throwing up it’s so good,” she wrote.
Fans have also reacted to the post with comments including, “Think he learned this from Twilight,” “Hahahahahahha that’s amazing,” and “‘iykyk’ – I do not, in fact, know what’s going on,” which is a reference to the caption of the post which is “iykyk” an acronym for If You Know, You Know. So, what do we know?
The casting for Season 34 has not been revealed, and only Robert Irwin and Alix Earle have been confirmed, which means that Lautner’s inclusion in the show is entirely possible. It is also not the first time his name has been mentioned as a potential competitor on “Dancing With the Stars.”
In an interview with Parade on March 3, professional dancer and judge on DWTS, Derek Hough, shared his thoughts on who he feels would be a great addition to the upcoming season. “Taylor Lautner would be good,” he said. “He would be great. He would be fantastic. Competitive, athletic.”
In May, Lautner showed off his dancing skills again in a video posted on Instagram. This time, he was dancing with professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy (who Johnson is married to).
Lautner has expressed interest in the dance competition, and so has his wife. Tay watched DWTS with her grandma. “It would just be a really crazy, full circle moment,” Tay said on an episode of her and Lautner’s podcast “The Squeeze,” Parade reports. She continued, “Getting to bring my nana and being like, ‘Hey nana, I’m not a pro. I’m a star on this.’ Like how crazy is that?”
