“The Golden Bachelorette” star Joan Vassos realized something during her first visit to her fiance’s home that she suggests could become a dealbreaker.
Vassos spent New Year’s Eve in Wichita, Kansas with her fiance Chock Chapple. The couple previously revealed that this was her first visit to his home. The pair filmed a hometown date in Kansas for “The Golden Bachelorette,” but that was held at his friend’s ranch.
During her visit to Chapple’s home, Vassos revealed that one discovery left her feeling quite uneasy. She broke it all down in a January 3 Instagram post. She titled it, “The tale of Chock’s socks…”
Joan Vassos Finds Chock Chapple’s Sock Situation Unnerving
Vassos filmed the video in Chapple’s home and began by sharing, “I’ve discovered we have a problem.”
She explained that her fiance has “An issue with socks.”
The issue, Vassos declared, was that Chapple has “Hundreds of pairs” of socks and it’s “Causing me great anxiety because they are unmatched. They are in bins, very large bins filled with socks.”
Vassos then provided everybody with a brief tour of the sock situation at Chapple’s home. There were bins of clean socks and stacks of various types of socks she had sorted into piles in the hallway.
“These all are clean socks. He’s washed them, yet he hasn’t paired them again. Look how many we have. There are hundreds in here. Not only that, I have unmatched socks, which causes me anxiety. I have started on the unmatched socks. Here we are. We are now moving out into the hallway. Here are the black ones that I still have to match. I can move on over here too. These are the colorful ones, maybe for special occasions. Or maybe, I don’t know, maybe we’ll have to get rid of them,” Vassos shared.
She admitted, “This is causing me anxiety. I just, I think I need to tell Chock. It’s either me or the socks. I’ll let you know what he says.”

In a new Instagram post that Vassos shared on January 6, Chapple made a confession about his sock situation. He admitted, “I would rather buy new socks than to run my washing machine.”
That could certainly explain how the sock situation at his home escalated the way it did.
Vassos’ Instagram followers got a good laugh out of “The Tale of Chock’s Socks.”
One person commented, “He was looking for the perfect ‘match.’ Now, you two are the perfect pair!”
Another asked, “Where is Chock?? Out buying more socks???”
“Hilarious! Throw them out and start over!! You are a good woman to match them,” suggested someone else.
“Behind every man is a good woman who matches the socks,” joked a separate fan.
