The top boxers in the world continue to earn absolutely astronomical fight purses and UFC icon Joe Rogan can’t quite get his head around it.

On July 19, one of the biggest heavyweight boxing showdowns of the decade will take place as Oleksandr Usyk defends his undisputed heavyweight status in a rematch against Daniel Dubois.

The two first met back in 2023 and the fight was covered in controversy after the Brit seemed to score a stoppage over Usyk, however his knockdown punch was deemed a low blow.

The Ukrainian went on to mount the comeback and won the fight in the ninth round after landing a huge straight right hand. Since then, Usyk has completed his legendary rivalry against Tyson Fury, scoring two wins over ‘The Gypsy King’.

Joe Rogan left stunned after hearing Usyk’s upcoming fight purse

Despite having beaten Fury twice, retiring the former heavyweight champion, Fury recently revealed that a potential trilogy will take place in 2026, this time in the UK.

Before that can happen, though, Usyk must once again beat ‘Dynamite’ Dubois, and the anticipation for their clash is becoming palpable.

During one of their first face offs after the rematch was announced, security had to quickly intervene as Dubois shoved the undisputed champion.

However, that has only added to the magnitude of the fight which will take place from the Wembley Stadium in London.

Ahead of their clash, UFC icon Joe Rogan has been left stunned after finding out how much both fighters will take home from their huge fight.

“Bro, did you see the numbers that Usyk and Dubois are getting?” Rogan asked UFC stars Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya during a recent meeting.

“Bro! $132 million! $132 million and $71 million! Yeah, look at the numbers. $132 million and $71 million. Yo! Yo, that’s crazy! Numbers for purses,” Rogan replied as he was left stunned.

It is unclear exactly where Rogan found his information, however it is being reported that the two will split a purse of over $200 million, with Usyk taking home over half of it.

Alexander Volkanovski tells Dana White to take note after hearing fight purse

UFC fighters earn far less than the top boxers, however, Dana White‘s new TKO Boxing venture will see him and Turki Alalshikh attempt to change the pay structure in boxing.

Despite that, after hearing Usyk’s reported purse, the current UFC featherweight champion Volkanovski told Dana to take note.

“Ay, yo, Dana, Dana!” Volkanovski and Adesanya both said as they began to laugh.
