Now that Joey Graziadei has added Dancing With the Stars champion to his résumé, he’s ready to dive into wedding planning with fiancé Kelsey Anderson.
“We’re both in the process of starting to figure it out,” Joey, 29, told Life & Style and other media outlets after the Dancing With the Stars finale on Tuesday, November 26. However, the couple hasn’t decided how big or small they want their nuptials to be, or whether they want a televised wedding.
“We both said that we want it to be for us,” the former tennis instructor continued. “So, that’s however you want to take that. We’ll figure out what it is, but it’s going to be for us, and we’re going to make sure it’s something special that we can look back on and do it just for us.”
Kelsey, 26, had a similar answer when Life & Style exclusively spoke to The Bachelor winner at the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 23. “I think currently we’re just enjoying the moment, but we’re definitely going to start planning within the next six months,” she shared, adding that she and Joey were focused on giving their “all” to DWTS first.
Who Do You Want to See as the Next Golden Bachelor?
For now, The Bachelor couple is settling into their new life in Los Angeles. After briefly living with Kelsey’s roommates in New Orleans following The Bachelor finale in March, the duo relocated to L.A. so Joey could compete on Dancing With the Stars. They were then deciding between Los Angeles (Joey’s choice) and New York (Kelsey’s choice) for their next place and settled on the West Coast after she got used to spending time there.
“We got a place in L.A.,” Joey confirmed. “So we’re going to be here for a bit and we’re going to try it out, see what it’s like, and hang out with Jenna [Johnson] and Val [Chmerkovskiy].”
Joey was partnered with Jenna, 30, on season 33 of Dancing With the Stars and they won the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. “I don’t even know how I felt,” Joey admitted. “I honestly blacked out. I just remember [Jenna] screaming really loud. I remember hugging her. I remember Val coming in. I remember [the Mirror Ball] was heavier than I thought it was going to be. And that was about it. That’s where we’re at now.”
Kelsey was in the audience to support Joey every week throughout the dance competition. The two got engaged on season 28 of The Bachelor, which filmed in the fall of 2023 and aired earlier this year. On November 12, they celebrated the one-year anniversary of their engagement.
“One year of laughter, learning and lots of love,” Kelsey wrote on Instagram. “Can’t wait to do it again with you! Happy anniversary to the man of my dreams. A man who is patient, kind, and always gives 1000% in everything he does. I’m so grateful for your love, your support, and the way you make every day brighter.”
Joey posted his own tribute, calling Kelsey “my everything” and gushing, “I still cannot believe that it has been a year since I got down on one knee and asked you to marry me. This is another appreciation post for everything you do. The laughs, the love, the support, the joy and the excitement. Every day with you is an adventure and I cannot wait to see all of the memories we get to create in the years to come.”
