The Bachelor's Joey Graziadei revealed an unfortunate postponement amid the start of his brand-new job.
While Joey’s run on Dancing With The Stars season 33 led him to the win, his time on the DWTS Tour has gotten off to a difficult start. Sharing the official Dancing With The Stars Tour Instagram account’s post on his Instagram Story, Joey revealed to his followers that the first stop of the tour in Buffalo has been postponed. “Due to the Mayor of Buffalo declaring a state of emergency with the ongoing lake effect snow storm, tonight’s show…has been postponed,” the account shared. Joey revealed his displeasure, sharing the news with a crying emoji on his Story.
While Joey was excited about getting his opportunity to perform in front of a crowd for the first time since his historic Dancing With The Stars win, it was unfortunately something he wasn't able to follow through with. Joey, who's been finding himself in new career ventures within the entertainment industry since he finished his stint as The Bachelor, has found a new passion for dance since appearing on DWTS. His performance in the Buffalo DWTS show would've been his first on the tour, and though he has other dates coming up, it was an exciting opportunity for the winner.
What Joey Graziadei’s DWTS Tour Postponement Means
The Show Was Postponed For Weather-Related Reasons
Although Joey’s been tapped to appear on the Dancing With The Stars season 33 tour for select cities, his first appearance was set to be during the Buffalo show. Unfortunately, due to unpredictable weather in upstate New York and near the Canadian border, the show had to be postponed for safety reasons. While the former Bachelor star was excited for the first show on his leg of the tour, Joey and the rest of the tour’s cast had to regroup after the Buffalo mayor called a state of emergency. Though they’re respectful of the decision, it was a tough blow.
What Dancing With The Stars Season 33's Win Means For Joey's Future
He's More Interested In Performing Than Ever
While Joey was a tennis player and coach prior to his time as The Bachelor, he wasn't sure about what he was looking for in his life. As he moved through The Bachelorette season 20 and then went on to become The Bachelor himself, Joey's life took a tremendous turn and he found the love of his life. Getting to invest himself in Kelsey, the pair have been working together to see what's next for their future. Both appear to be interested in the idea of working as influencers within the entertainment industry, but Joey's DWTS win could change that.
Joey's interest in becoming more of an entertainer has stemmed from his time on Dancing With The Stars, where he was able to find something he was great at and build confidence. Light on his feet because of his years as a tennis player, Joey utilized skills he already had in becoming a wonderful dancer. Throughout the competition, Joey learned more about himself and as he's returning to dance with the DWTS tour, he may be interested in pursuing it more throughout his career. Though it's unlikely Joey will become a professional dancer, he could incorporate it into his life.
Our Take On Joey Being Part Of The DWTS Tour
It Could Cause Issues In His Relationship
While Joey being part of the Dancing With The Stars tour is an honor and a privilege for the former Bachelor, it could do some damage in terms of his relationship with Kelsey. Throughout the DWTS tour, Joey will appear in different shows all over the country. His current stretch of shows, all happening over a week, will see Joey traveling all over the East Coast while Kelsey is back home in Los Angeles. Though Joey and Kelsey have been apart before, it's possible Joey may be away to perform again more than once throughout the tour's months long duration.
Throughout their time together, Joey and Kelsey have dealt with serious relationship backlash from Bachelor Nation. While the pair have had their moments of difficulty, Joey and Kelsey have worked hard to move through their issues and share their relationship from a space of clarity with their followers. With Joey leaving for weeks at a time, it's possible that though the DWTS tour is exciting, it could take a toll on his connection to Kelsey. The pair may have a good grasp on how to handle long-distance in small doses, it could be more difficult than ever to stay connected.
