Jordan x Supreme Collab: Latest Rumor Reveals Upcoming Drop Will Have More Than Just Apparel Release

Almost a decade since it first happened, yet Supreme and Jordan seem standing strong on their upcoming collaborative products. For those who are unaware, Supreme first collaborated with Nike for the first time back in 2002. However, the clothing brand did not join its hands with Michael Jordan‘s Jordan brand until 2015. Since their first collab on Nike Air Jordan 5 Supreme, the partnership has come a long way.

The upcoming drop from the collaborative efforts of the two companies has got something exciting for the fans. “Rumor: Supreme is reportedly releasing a Air Jordan 17 alongside the Jordan Apparel Collection,” read an X post by KicksFinder.

Earlier this year, Dazed magazine offered a glimpse of the highly anticipated Supreme x Jordan Brand collection for the Fall/Winter 2024 season. The spread featured British rapper Central Cee, showcasing a standout puffer jacket from the collaboration.

Clad in white Air Force 1s and seasonal Supreme gear, Cee highlighted the puffer jacket as the focal point of what appeared to be an exciting new collection. However, this collaboration will include not only puffer jackets but also track jackets, track pants, and jerseys. Marking a significant return for Supreme and Jordan Brand.

Fans couldn’t help but wonder if this revival hinted at another. It had been nearly a decade since the last joint effort, which saw the release of the Air Jordan 5 Retro in white, black, and desert camo colorways. To this point, there were no known rumors circulating about any Supreme x Air Jordan footwear collaboration. But the recent post by KicksFinder changes this with possible Air Jordan 17 collaboration.

Let’s have a close look at the developments related to Air Jordan 17 this year

Air Jordan 17 — a silhouette that made waves when it first dropped in February 2002. Known for its jazz-inspired design and groundbreaking tuned air cushioning system, the Air Jordan 17 also turned heads with its unique metal briefcase packaging. And a CD-ROM—a nod to its innovative spirit.

Fast forward to 2024, and the Air Jordan 17 returned to the spotlight with its inaugural retro releases. Kicking things off, the Low Lightning edition of the series hit the shelves at the end of May this year. With a retail price of $300, this exclusive drop was available only through select NBHD retailers.

Following this, the Air Jordan 17 Low UNC debuted on August 28th, mirroring the $300 price tag, and exclusive retail strategy of its predecessor, while also revisiting that iconic briefcase. Now, the possible collaboration between Supreme Brand and Jordan can be something that could blow the snakeheads’ minds. However, any official confirmation on this is yet to come.
