“Dancing With the Stars” judge Derek Hough and his wife, Hayley Erbert, just announced that they’re expecting a baby! Hough’s sister, Julianne Hough, shared her excitement about the pregnancy news.
Derek Hough & Hayley Erbert Announce They’re Pregnant!
On July 22, Hough and Erbert took to Instagram to share their exciting pregnancy news with a gorgeous announcement video.
“We can’t believe the biggest thing to happen to us could be so small,” she wrote in the post’s caption.
In the video, Hough approaches his wife as she opens her arms, then they embrace and share a kiss. The camera pulls away to show Erbert draping her arms around her husband’s neck and holding ultrasound photos in her hand that unfold to reveal four pics of their baby. The couple continues hugging and smiling.
The song “So Small,” by Alexander Jean (music duo Mark Ballas and BC Jean) plays throughout. Ballas and his wife noted in 2023, “We wrote this song about the anticipation & overwhelming excitement of becoming a parent … if you are a parent or about to be this song is for you.”
Among the many well wishes in the comments section was one from Julianne, who wrote, “Baby Hough is so wise to choose you two as their parents — they are already so loved and protected!”
The “DWTS” co-host added, “I love you both more than anything — Aunt JuJu is ready for whatever you need 💕✨.”
